CHRIS LILJENBERG HALSTRØM
Furniture designer and textile artist
Born 1977. Lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark and Moheda, Sweden
I mainly work with furniture and smaller objects for the home always taking my starting point in everyday situations. I find it interesting to work with familiarity, openness and anonymity as topics in order to create new expressions and purposes for my objects. This applies whether I work with companies such as Fritz Hansen and Design Within Reach, with clients for interior projects or with objects for exhibitions.
Since 2019 I have been focusing mainly on my textile art practice and I am represented by Francis Gallery in UK and US.
I established my studio in 2007 after graduating from The Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen with prior studies in Stockholm, Sweden and Berlin, Germany.
From 2022-2025 I am member of The Danish Arts Foundation´s Committee for Craft and Design.
